Stayed at Kyukamura　NANKI−KATSUURA and visited Kumano Sanzan ３〜Kumano Hongu Shrine 休暇村　南紀勝浦に宿泊して、熊野三山にお参りしてきました３ ~熊野本宮　参拝編

From Daimonzaka, head for Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine. There are few places to eat lunch around Hongu Shrine, so it is a good idea to buy something when you pass through Shingu.

Coming down Daimonzaka, I drove to Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine without eating lunch; according to NAVITIME, the distance was 50.9 km, and it took about one hour. There are not many places to buy lunch around Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine, so I bought some bread at a bakery in front of the Otorii gate. Then, I crossed Route 168 and went to the embankment to sit down somewhere to eat the bread.

大門坂を降りてきて、お昼を食べずに、車で熊野本宮大社へ向かいました。NAVITIMEによると距離は50.9km、約1時間で到着しました。熊野本宮大社周辺には、お昼を買うようなところが少ないので、大鳥居の手前のパン屋さんでパンを買いました。そして、パンをどこかに腰掛けて食べるために168号線をわたり、堤防へでました。

堤防の横には、世界遺産　熊野本宮館　https://www.city.tanabe.lg.jp/hongukan/　があります。

「世界遺産熊野本宮館」は地元の材木を使用した木造平屋建てで、248席の多目的ホール、展示スペース・図書コーナーなどがあります。
館内には観光案内拠点となる「熊野本宮観光協会」や、世界遺産の保全・活用を行っている「和歌山県世界遺産センター」の事務局が入り、大型バス２台を含む計58台の駐車場も完備しております。

The World Heritage Kumano Hongu Kan is a one-story wooden building made of local timber, with a 248-seat multipurpose hall, an exhibition space, and a library corner.
The building houses the Kumano Hongu Tourist Association, which serves as a tourist information center, and the Wakayama Prefecture World Heritage Center, which is responsible for the preservation and utilization of World Heritage properties.

It was opened on April 1, 2005, but I did not notice its existence when I visited Kumano Hongu a few years ago. This time I was able to notice it as I crossed Route 168 to have some bread. The exhibit was worth seeing, and many foreign visitors came to the museum. Inside the museum, there is also a library and an information center.

2005年4月1日に開館していましたが、数年前に熊野本宮に参拝したときには、存在に気が付きませんでした。今回、パンを食べるために、168号線を横断したため、気がつくことができました。見ごたえのある展示で、外国の方がたくさん来館していました。中には、図書閲覧コーナーやインフォメーションセンターも併設されています。
