ロンドン旅行を計画。なんと、旅程表にロンドン警察からの警告プリントが付いてきました！そこには、日本人観光客を狙ったスリや置き引きが多発していると書かれているではありませんか！まあ、大変！更に調べていくと、なんと現地在住者も含めてスマホの盗難が相次いでいるとのこと！対策せねば！（特に、iphoneは転売価格が高く、狙われやすいとの情報もありました）

ロンドンの治安について調べ始めるとすぐにスマホの盗難が多発していると出てきました。手口の多くは、手に持って使っている最中に、バイクや自転車で取っていくとのこと。sakutomo ch というYoutubeチェンネルでもロンドンの治安について説明してくれていたので、参考にして、首や体に斜めがけできるストラップを検討、スマホストラップの購入を決定した次第。検討の末、私が選んだのは、[MagEasy] スマホショルダー 。首掛け、斜めがけもできて、ストラップが太い。すぐに切られてしまうような細いものでは心もとないので、この太さも魅力でした。

多くは手に持っているものを「さっ」と取ってゆく手口ゆえ、首にかけているとターゲットから外れやすいとの情報も得ました。盗難する人も、短時間でその場を去りたいので首からかけていたり、斜めがけしていたりする人は避けるとのこと。絶対、斜めがけもしくは首にかけるものにしよう！と決意。本当は肩が凝るのが嫌なので、極力首掛けや斜めがけは避けてきたのだけれど、スマホを守るためなら致し方ないと観念しました。幸い、このストラップは太いので、肩や首への負担も小さく感じました。

スマホは街で使わないのが一番。これが防犯上最強の方法だが、そうもいかないのが現実でした。実際、ロンドン市内で、スマホを使っているときは、自分たちが狙われているのが肌でわかるレベル。アラ還女子が、２人でスマホを見ながらキョロキョロしているのですから、ターゲットになって当然。あらかじめ、ホテルで予習をしてきても、街なかの地図を見ても、わからないときはあるものです。仕方がないからスマホを出して一人が調べ、もう一人がそばについて警戒する。私達の周りに２・３人の若い男の人が寄って来ることもありました。
が、スマホのストラップが首にかけてあるのが、見える位置に来ると、私達から離れていくということが何回もあったのは事実。やはり、首掛けは効果があったと確信しています。

エコノミーの座席は狭い。体勢をゴソゴソ変えたり、トイレに行ったり。飛行機の中でもスマホをなくせば一大事！というわけで、ずっと首掛けしてました。斜め掛けだと、上着の脱ぎ着の際に不便だったので、首掛けにしました。幸い、肩が凝ることもなく、スマホも迷子にならず、安心してフライトできました。ちなみに、メガネを掛けている人は、メガネも紐つけておくと便利ですよ。私は100均で失くしても惜しくないものを買って、首に掛けていました。結局、眼鏡の方は帰国して自宅につくまで使いました。こちらもおすすめです。
